Exhibitions
The cultural centre has two permanent exhibitions. One tells the story of the writer Gunnar Gunnarsson, his life and his works. The other one is about the history of the medieval monastery and the research that was performed in the years 2002-2012. Temporary exhibitions are set up, for example around Easter and in December. In summertime we often make small exhibits with East Iceland folktales as subject. In the mansion many drawings made by Gunnar junior, the writer's son are on display along with other artworks.
