E-mail Print PDF

fredsholm4fredsholm10This year there are 110 years since Gunnar Gunnarsson sailed to Denmark with his dream of becoming a writer. To celebrate that the Gunnar Gunnarsson Institute and the Icelandic Embassy in Copenhagen put up a memory plate on the house Fredsholm in Birkerød where Gunnarsson lived from 1929 until he returned to Iceland in 1939. There he wrote for example The Good Shepherd. The house is now in use of a kindergarten and the kids helped Gunnar Björn Gunnarsson, the great grandson of the writer at the ceremony on 6th April.
