Next Monday, 25th July, the stage-art-group Sviðsverkur will perform their theatrical installation based on Gunnar Gunnarsson's book Seven Days' Darkness, which was published in 1920. The audience will be offered to join the world of the work and take part in reliving the story. The story takes place in the end of WWI in a winter when the inhabitants of Reykjavik have to face both eruption and lethal influenza.

The stage-art-group Sviðsverkur was established by young and enthusiastic people who have graduated in stage arts;  Hallveig Kristín Eiríksdóttir, Þorvaldur S. Helgason and Eva Halldóra Guðmundsdóttir. Their goal is to present new theatre forms to the audience by giving the audience the oppertunity to participate in the theatre and take part in the artwork.

The shows will be in the evenings 25th - 27th July. Every hour a new performance will start, 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00. Tickets can be ordered by e-mailing This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or by phone 471-2990. The price is 1500 ISK.

In Icelandic Saga Borgarættarinnar (Guest the one eyed) is now published for the first time as paperback.
