Two exhibitions were opened at the cultural centre on Good Friday 29th March when the spring opening started at Skriðuklaustur. In the old living room is an exhibition Polyphony by Björg Eiriksdóttir, an artist from Akureyri. It is an exhibit with videowork and paintings. Downstairs in gallery Klaustur are five paintings by Gunnar junior, the son of the author who was a painter. Gunnar Gunnarsson Institute has recently bought these artworks. The exhibitions, the cultural centre and the café are now open every day from 11:00 till 17:00. Klausturkaffi offers lunch buffet every day and also cake buffet in the afternoon on weekends.
